We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining our data architecture, as well as ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility for our teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to process large datasets from various sources.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple data sources, ensuring consistency, reliability, and performance.
- ETL Processes: Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to consolidate data from various systems into our data warehouse.
- Database Management: Maintain and optimize databases (SQL/NoSQL), ensuring high availability and performance.
- Data Modeling: Design and implement data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data pipelines, processes, and architecture.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and suggest improvements to existing processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with ETL tools and processes.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their data services.
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex datasets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data governance, data security, and data privacy practices.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.
- Certification in data engineering or cloud platforms.
